What is Jupiter Global

Overview of Jupiter Global, its products, identity verification, and how to get started.

Jupiter Global is a set of regulated financial services integrated into the Jupiter app. Built on the Solana blockchain, it allows users to convert USDC (on Solana) into fiat currency and access traditional payment infrastructure directly from the app.

Products

Jupiter Card

A Visa debit card backed by the user’s USDC balance, accepted wherever Visa is accepted.

Jupiter QR Pay

Scan-to-pay for merchant and peer-to-peer payments in the Asia-Pacific region.

Global Fiat Remittance

Virtual accounts, SWIFT transfers, and local payouts in 20 currencies.

USDC (on Solana) is the base deposit asset. Users deposit USDC into their Global account, which is converted to USD at the time of deposit. This USD balance is used for the Jupiter Card and QR Pay. Remittance operates separately through virtual accounts funded by incoming fiat transfers.

Identity Verification (Jupiter ID)

Jupiter ID is required to access any Jupiter Global feature. It is a unified verification profile — verify once, then access all three products without repeating the process.

Identity verification is required by law to help prevent fraud, money laundering, and misuse of financial services. The process is handled by SumSub.

Accepted proof of address documents include: utility bills, telecom bills, bank statements, and tax invoices.

Approval Time

Verification typically takes 2 to 4 minutes. In some cases, manual review may extend this timeframe.

Data Handling & Privacy

• Verification handled externally. Jupiter does not store or process identity documents. All verification is handled by SumSub.
• Separated from DeFi. Jupiter ID is not linked to DeFi wallets. It is used only for Jupiter Global services and does not grant access to wallet funds.
• Activity separation. Onchain activity in DeFi mode is not associated with Jupiter ID.

Jupiter ID cannot be deleted once created. Once verification is complete, the Jupiter ID cannot be removed.

How to Get Started

1. Switch to Global mode

   Open the Jupiter app and tap the Card icon in the top-left corner.

2. Complete Jupiter ID

   Follow the on-screen instructions. Upload a government-issued ID and a selfie (plus proof of address in APAC regions). Verification typically takes 2 to 4 minutes.

3. Fund your account

   Tap “Add money” to deposit USDC. Deposits are credited one-to-one in USD with no additional fees.

4. Start using Jupiter Global

   Access the Jupiter Card, QR Pay, or Remittance from the app.

Key Characteristics

• USDC only. All deposits into the Global account are made in USDC (on Solana), credited one-to-one in USD. Remittance virtual accounts are funded separately via incoming fiat transfers.
• Regulated infrastructure. Card issuance, payments, and transfers are handled by licensed financial partners.
• Identity required. Jupiter ID and KYC verification are required before accessing any feature.
• No custody of wallet funds. Jupiter does not take custody of the user’s DeFi wallet funds. Global balances are managed by the regulated financial partners.
